New Guy looking for a diesel.

Hi all,

Figured I'd stop here first and say hi. I have always wanted a diesel. I drive Powerstrokes frequently, awesome engine. I am looking to purchase anywhere from 6-12 months from now. I have always had problems deciding on what vehicle to buy, so I figured I'd start my "research" now. I am going to be buying used, with a budget of around $25-30k. I am going to be looking at Dodge & GM too, but I am partial to the Powerstroke. So, I'll be reading along, asking questions, etc, etc.

Drew

Hey welcome! I just bought an 01 F250 with 79k miles on it for 19k. It has the 7.3 which is what i wanted. If you can find a 7.3 with low miles thats a great way to go. I'd just watch out for dodges, lots of tranny troubles and plenty of other things. but i am also partial to Ford. Good luck in your search!
