New Member from Minneapolis

Just bought a PS last night.

2000 350 Van with 260,000 miles. The previous owner took great care with the van as the interior and exterior look great. I bought it primarily to tow my Porsches to the track. Yeah its not a truck but the price was right and with 4 kids I needed the extra seat room.

I have a 2005 VW diesel that I use the Standayne additive in, does anyone suggest a different fuel additive or will it be good for both.

How difficult is it to do a compression/leakdown check on these? The vehicle was never used to tow with and nearly all the miles were highway, anything to look out for? Tranny??

Thanks in advance for any/all help. I've only had Dodge Diesels up to this point and they were when I worked for Chrysler so I never gave a rats butt about them. This is my first Ford so hopefully it will serve me well.

Forgot to ask are Van owners allowed to be on here or do I just need to hide and lurk?

How far North of Indy are you? I used to live in Fishers when I worked for Chrysler.

I left in August of 2000, I come back every Summer for the Formula One race. Used to live along the White River on 116th street. Man it was cool, small mouth bass right off my deck (till Delphi killed them all in December 1999)

Indy was my favorite town to live in. I'd move back there in a heart beat. Plenty of race tracks close by, good cost of living.

Of course you're welcome here! We've got folks who have all kinds of rides - actually we had one guy with a PSD in a BOAT - heck some don't even have PSD they just enjoy handing out, shooting the breeze and my charming personality......ok maybe not that last one but everyone's welcome just the same.
