new guy from westford

I just purchased my 99 f-250 7.3 supercab 4x4 auto with 3.73 gears and very new to posting messages i,m concerned about my fuel consumption im getting 13 to 14 mpg's amd i,m not hard into the juice my tranny almost seems like its acting funny since it went back to the ford dealer where i bought it for minor repairs i.e (sticking brake caliper) any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks hopefully it lasts a long time its my most expensive truck to date although i'm not getting the fuel mileage i expected i have driven other psd's and have friend that have had them and tell me around 20mpg i'm getting 13 0r 14 at best

Gauges and a tuner if you're looking to upgrade. Most of your tuners can help with mileage IF you can keep your foot out of it. Then there are guys like me who gave up on mileage LOOOOONG ago.

Welcome to Powerstroke.org
The best place to start with mods would be the cheap, or free ones. Things like a zoodad mod come to my mind. Before you do any power enhancements however you should have guages.

I'm all for cheap or free is the zoodad mode applicable to my 99 7.3 Iwas thinking about the airbox the factory box dos'nt seem to good to me any suggestion on a decent and cheaper unit would be greatly appreciated
