Took me long enough

Having a few problem posting so this is sort of a test. I have a bunch of mustangs, so that is where I spend most of my time. I do mod my 02 Powerstroke though. I have a 4" turbo back exhaust, not sure the brand, it was only $280 with a 5' chrome tip off of Ebay. It sounds good though, near stock sounding from in the cab. I have a AFE II intake. And, a Hypertech III programmer, set on the max setting. I know some people don't like the Hpertech, but, the fact that its top setting is still good for a 12,500lb tow makes it nice to not have to worry about program changes. I also installed an Autometer EGT gauge w/ the exhaust.

I have run 16.1 in the quarter and would like to go faster. So, any advice will ge appreciated.

You have a good start on it. If you have never tried a flip chip, they are awsome on the 7.3s. TS and DP both make great ones. I am sure there are others out there, but those are the two I know the most about. You can also try a 4x4 launch when at the track if it is 4 wheel drive. There is a bunch of stuff you can do, just keep on looking around, and if you see something you need to ask about, dont be shy.

welcome... if you really want to go faster ... honestly dump the hypertech and get a custome tuned chip like DP... but before that get a shift kit, and a bigger turbo like a High Tech Turbo.. then have the chip custome tuned to your new mods... it will be way faster.... prob only cost somewhere in the 2500 range....

Howdy and

I have a ts chip and can say that I am please with it. It is nice to be able to on the fly change the settings for towing, cruising, or eating rice! haha

I think the TS is a good start, better than a canned programmer, but if you get custom programs on a TS or DP chip, I think you will be the happiest with that Then, turbos, injectors, fuel system, bigger intercooler, ya know...the long wish list

Welcome!!!

I agree with the guys saying "get a flip chip". I have DI 6pos and I LOVE it! Also, you can pull the tube off of your WG, and then guess what? Time for a turbo, injectors, Big Oil, head studs, etc. If your getting low 16's with your set up, I'm assuming either your a great driver at the track, or your launching in 4wd. You can also try some weight redux. My best is at 17.034 so your doing pretty durn good in my book.
