new member from new york

hey guys , been lurking for a while but just joined the club today.

been driving the powerstrokes since 97 and up until the 6.o i never had a problem.

i had an 04 that was a basket case from harness issues to injectors and 3 sets of head gaskets.

i traded that in for an 06 that i am driving now that xonly has 12,500 mi on it and right now is at the dealer for what they believe is the head gaskets but the trucks been parked in the same spot since i dropped it off 3 days ago so im waiting to hear from them.

the truck has a 6"skyjacker lift w 37x13.5x20 rubber ,
4.33 gears,banks six gun bundle,and an mbrp 5" exhaust

has ford come up with a fix for the overheating and head gasket problem yet or is this gonna be an ongoing problem

Welcome and dang-it dude at the problems. You'll find a little bit of everything here by way of problems and problem-free trucks...

Yeah, one good way to fix that, PUT HEAD STUDS IN IT.

Alot of times, a dealer will put those in for ya if they have to replace the head gaskets because it has to come apart anyway. Might be something to check on.
