new to diesel
hello everyone from Ga. In a few months when my dad receives his 2008 f 450 (sweet) I will be purchasing his 2000 f350 drw 7.3 and I can't wait. Diesel engines are an exciting new puzzle for me. I currently own a Honda Prelude and a Toyota 4wd pickup ( stop laughin at my jap vehicles I love them both ) and have done a few engine rebuilds mostly because I am cheap and I like to do it myself. Diesel is new to me so I want to pick up a good service manual. I have the Oem manuals on my other cars and love the amount of detail ( large exploded views, and special tools info ) I also have Haynes and Chiltons manuals but they sometimes cover to many models at the sacrife of detail. Does any one have a Ford service manual and is it any good? I don't mind spending the $$$ but it has to be worth it.
I am excited to be a member of powerstroke.org and promise to be picking your brains in the future. LOL Thanks |

i have a 96 PSD myself with a 7.3 engine. absolutely love it. i think that the service book is worth it from Ford bcuz it gives you the specifics of your particular vehicle. it gives you everything you wanna know. costed me about $350. |
