Remote starter and mileage chip.......?

Newbie here! Just bought an '04 EX w/6.0. Want a remote starter. Should I just trust Ford to install their unit or try something else? I also want to fire up the heated seats as well, if possible. I live in Wyoming. It's 10 degrees tonight!! Since I do live in WY and it is 125 miles even to the nearest Wal-Mart (true) I want to maximize my mileage. Any good higher mileage chips that you suggest? The EX will be our car. It won't work (pull anything) so power or torque loss won't be important to me. Thankyou for your help and i appreciate it!!!!! ron

Welcome to the addiction um I mean org! Congrats on the purchase too! I have heard alot of people talk about the SCTtuner and Innovative Diesel street tune giving good mileage increases, but tou gotta keep your foot out of it. I have a problem doing that myself, don't know about you.
