Hello from ISSPRO in Oregon
I am new to this forum, but not new to these types of forums. I've been into diesels for over 20 years, and into hot-rodding them for the past 5 years.
My tow rig and sometimes daily driver is listed in my signature. I've probably modded it as much as it's going to get for now, except for serving as a test bed for ISSPRO products. I have been bracket racing it regularly for the end of the 2006 NHRDA season, and plan to hit the full series of races this year. I also raced a U-Haul at the DHRA Indy Nationals in 2006 (see Avatar). I'll probably try to get away with similar rent-a-racer escapades this season at the more distant races. If anyone has any questions about ISSPRO products, feel free to drop me a PM or E-Mail. I've suggested to our marketing department that we begin advertising on this forum. Thanks and regards, Michael Pliska |

Welcome to Powerstroke.org Michael! I flat out love my ISSPRO gauges - I think that was one of my first mods to my rig. It's great to have you here and I hope you enjoy the site.
![]() Oh and the U-Haul on the track is priceless.

Hello Michael, Welcome I'm new here also but thought I'd say Hi cause we are practically neighbors. Where is ISSPRO located? How much of the manufacturing is done here locally? -Steve

We have a full manufacturing plant here, but also outsource some of our manufacturing to contract manufacturers. My plan is to bring more of that back in-house. By the time you add up the cost of inventory on the water (coming over from overseas), plus the cost of additional finished goods inventory (since we need to stock complete gauges instead of just the components, and most of the components are common across multiple part numbers), it makes more sense to make them in-house. There's also the obvious side-effect of creating more local jobs! Our new lines which are coming out in the next few months will all be manufactured here in Portland. Thanks and regards, Michael Pliska |

Hopefully I will make it up for the Mission NHRDA races 04/21 & 06/16-17. Tough part will be finding and removing all the ammo in my truck and camper before the trip (I've heard horror stories from fellow drag racers, having been threatened with the confiscation of their entire transporter and racing operation over a single round of handgun ammo being found in the bottom of a glove box). It's rough being a gun nut and traveling across international boundaries! Do you make it down for any of the NHRDA races? Thanks, Michael |

There are a few of us up here in B.C, Alberta and Gregor hiding up in Alaska, thinking of getting together at mission this year. Sam has a race car, Mike wants to run his truck, And I just want to eat Popcorn and watch hahaha. I live about an hour away from mission, and wouldn't mind going to the NHRDA races. I know what you mean about the Boarder and guns/ammo, and it's a lot worse now then when I was running south. Let me know if your coming up, I'll see you there.

I have a funny story about the ammo and crossing international borders. We go to Ontario Canada every spring fishing and of course you get the usual questions do you have guns or ammo. Well of course not we are on a fishing trip. Well they tell us to pull over so we can get inspected and of course they find 50 cal black powder lead under the seat
. They were good about it I suppose because there was no gun powder Welcome to the forum great bunch of people and I love my isspro gauges also

I can completely relate to that, trust me! ![]() It's good to see companies actually wanting to bring things back in house in this day and age of outsourcing being all the rage. Y'all make a great product and I've recommended ISSPRO hundreds of times but couple that with your care for the local community and employment shows you've not only a great product but are a stand-up company. |
