New Ford man on the block

Hey everyone. My name is Dean Fields, (everyone calls me Deeno.) I've been reading everyones messages and have learned a lot about Powerstrokes. By the way, I love this web site! Very informative. I live in Cottageville, WV, where it has been summer one day and winter the next. Right now it's winter! Back on 12-17-05 I purchased my first Powerstroke. It's a 2000 F-350 XLT, SRW, 4X4, regular cab, long bed, with the 4R100 auto tranny and she is bright red in color. The truck only had 29800 miles on it. It has 36000 on it now. I have since then installed a Mac cold air induction, MBRP aluminized 4in. turbo-back exhaust system, and use the Predator hand held tuner from Diablosport. Right now I have the 60HP tune and the firm shift tune installed and I must say there is a world of difference in how this truck runs now! I always knew that A diesel engine was easier to modify than it's gasoline counterpart but really didn't realize that there was so much power locked away in these engines. I know now why they are called Powerstrokes. I would appreciate any information, good or bad, about these trucks. One question I do have is, what is the maximum towing capacity for this truck? Thanks, Deeno.

WELCOME DEENO! Glad you're enjoying your rig AND Powerstroke.org. I've got the Predator too and have been VERY happy with it - BIG difference isn't it?

Welcome!!!!:burnout

You should be able to find the towing capacity on-line at ford.com, just have your serial number handy.

Thanks for a warm welcome everyone. Appreciate all the info and tips you can give to help me make this thing last as long as possible. Wait a minute, it's a FORD, what am I worried about? I see we have something in common other than our Fords, Banshee34. I have a 2003 Yamaha Raptor Limited Edition, myself. Love my quad too. Thanks for the info.

Wanna race? :burnout Just kidding, my tranny is down right now!

There are others on here with toys too! Just look around.

PS what kind of riding do you have back there?

Don't know if you have heard of it or not, but the Hatfield and McCoy Trails here in southern WV offer around 800 miles or so of riding. Beautiful scenery with all kinds of trails through the mountains. It's awsome!

That sounds very interesting, I'll have to check that out!

Usually it's a 50/50 between trails and sand for me though.:burnout Do you have sand dunes back there?
