Big thanks to TC and Jim (blackcloudstroker) for coming down and installing my new compressor wheel. They did all the work. I had all the tools and of course what Jim requested, a comfortable place to work. Take a look at the pics and you will know what I am talking about!!

looks like a good time i like the idea with the tractor so much better than laying over the beepbeepbeepbeep motor!! think ill have to use the ole fork lift for now on when im getting into takin the turbo out again!

So have you tested it out? Has your surge gone away, and what about noise?

The surge I was experiencing is now completely gone!!! With the acception if I am running 25+ pounds and I let out quickly.... but I don't like to just let off I like to back it down nicely anyways.

The noise is amazing. Its loud, completely different sound, not anything to compare to stock. It is more of a whine on top of the whistle. All good, no regrets. Great upgrade. Now, if it adds to the life of my turbo, I'll be very satisfied. I did have slight play in the shaft, but not much.

I forgot to mention the power I seem to have unlocked in the mid RPM range. I am having trouble keeping the tires under the back end of it right now...

And I am pulling about 8psi now at crusing speeds.

It spools up so much faster now, its awesome, really an all around wonderful project. It really helped to unlock the potential of my tuner.

I definalty like the set up tha adam provided for removing the turbo. It was the quickest i have ever taken the turbo off an put it back on and it was because of having a platform above the motor too lay on. We had lots of fun, good food, fried turkey was excellent, and the new sound of the turbo whistle is priceless.
