The 2008 DHRA Indiana Diesel Nationals are now known as the FASS Diesel Nationals, the event takes place at O’Reilly Raceway Park (ORP) in Indianapolis, Indiana, over the weekend of May 31st and June 1st, 2008. The event is organized and operated by DieselSport Promotions and DHRA, Inc. The event was born as Thunder in Muncie in June of 2000 at Dave’s Diesel, in Muncie, and moved to the Gaston Lions Club Fairgrounds and the Muncie Dragway in 2001. Having grown too large for the local venues, we moved it to O’Reilly Raceway Park in 2005. In 2005, there were 1500 diesels at ORP, with almost 300 participating in the Show-n-Shine, Pulls, Dyno and Drags. As of 2007 9,960 diesel enthusiasts attended the event that has gained notoriety in the Indianapolis area.
