Local Shops - Central / Southern IL

Any recommendations on mechanics in the neighborhood?

My friends at the local dealership seem to think I need some head gaskets. They're also under the impression that the motor has to come out if I want studs instead of bolts. $45xx, I provide the studs, and no warranty of course.

Anybody want to chime in on a good or bad experience near here? I could use another opinion.

What's the name of the shop in Peoria? I've also heard there's a good shop down in Litchfield, can't remember the name.

Not sure about Litchfield. There is one in Gilispie called Extreme Diesel Performance.

The Extreme Diesel link isn't working for me, and I can't find them in the google local. Got any contact info?

Any comments on Area Diesel in Carlinville? PM me if they're not fit to print.
