Emmissions

Hey guys, I bought a 04 6.0 last week and want to do a egr delete as well as a straight exhaust. Problem is I havent had my emmissions check yet, nor do I know when I am supposed to. I have only lived here for a year (used to live in MI) and do not know how these checks work. Can I pass with a egr delete, or my cat removed? I live in Mchenry county if that helps, thanks.

won't have to worry about emissions....u can do the egr delete without worries, and even a straight pipe too

they don't emissions test diesels, besides i would like to see the retards at the test center find the egr cooler on a 6.0l.

I hope they dont test, I just ordered my egr delete yesterday. Thanks for the reply.

i think it has something to do with the trucks being over a certain gvrw, that's why they don't test them. same reason they don't have to post average mpg in the window when they are new.

Has anybody checked to see if IL laws are changing for 2011?
I have heard rumors of our trucks being added to the list of BIG RIGS requiring Emission testing. Please don't quote me on this, just check it out for yourself.
I have a 7.3 and want to make sure.
I also heard that our 250/350 (3/4 and 1 ton) trucks will require a D plate with two semi-annual Safety inspections as off 2011 (Per GVWR being strickly enforced by State police)
I already have a D plate/get inspections for last 5 years. Mainly affects guys with F-250 that run B plates
