head gaskets

I got bad news to day that my head gaskets are blown and slowly heading down the road of disaster. I am not happy at all, and this is a very bad time for it to happen. So what i need to know guys where is shops people trust to do heads and studs that wont rape me.

Go to the dealership take some ky with you it will make it easier. Dealership may cost a little more but bet they are not that much more than any respectable shop in your area. Plus dealer has to stand behind their work.

How do you know head g ard bad? What were your symptoms?

ya heads never go at a good time man.... my went this weekend and im supose to make the trip down to brians truck shop for my new trany on thursday..... to make the story short i had a new head g's sent and ARP studs over night and got a 2 guys at a local shop working on the girl and she should be going by then.... cross your fingers

I've got a buddy that is a diesel tech and does it on the side. He did mine in January of 08 and has been great since. I can call him and see if that is somethign he can do at his house and see what he would charge.

I just got a quote of $2100 from a Ford Garage for installing ARP's onto my truck. Talked to the service manager though and he wants to take a look at the truck first to see if there's something else going on with it to see if it might be a warranty claim.

Just thought I'd throw that at you for reference.
