ditch the sig pictures

some members here have HUGE pictures in their signatures, can you please disable them or put a size limit? Plus its a pain to read the thread with a bigazz picture between every post.

We've toyed with the idea but so far have decided to let it fly.

You can turn signatures off and then it won't matter what's in them.

Its nice to have signatures that way if i would like to make a suggestion in someones post i can just read their mods listed in sig and go from there. Sigs need to stay, pics need to go.

limit the size of the pictures but make the sigs be able to be longer, mines maxed out and im not done

sigs are sigs.. people want large pics there so they are going to put them there. i think that if we start cracking down on the sigs, it will just drive people away... disable the sigs or ignore the large pics..

Great advise Rob. America has enough "Rights Stripping " on the way. Don't take away something so small yet important as this.
It is a large annoyance to you Poster, But another's pride & joy in that picture.

Am i really asking for something that unreasonable? Im getting tired of sig pics that take up half a screen. I dont come here to look at sig pics, i come here to read posts and help out where i can.

No, you're not the first to bring this up. It's pretty well split down the middle in the admin forums on which way to go. I will bring it back up in there and maybe see about a poll.

I agree, there are some pics that are huge... but they are the exception. We don't even have a rule about sig picture size, however there seems to be a "norm" of what people use in their sigs. Let me see if I can dig up the last thread about this.
