A better tech section.

I just am curious about if there is any feasibility to a webpage tech section rather than relying on the forum format.

I came from Rangers, my favourite forum was TRS.

Now if it's Taboo to link them I'm sorry but I can't see it being a problem because they are so different but their tech section is by FAR the best out of any auto community I've personally seen.

It's organized, clean, and keeps the forum less cluttered ( unlike the 6.0 general) and actually gets mentioned at some point on many other forums that have nothing to do with rangers because of the information in the tech section ( links to a Dana60 bible, or tons of info on the WC T5 transmission that even mustang forums don't have)

I just think it's a really really good idea, There is a huge amount of knowledge and write up's that are just lost here as the threads build up, and not everything can be stickied.

They have info on ujoints, driveshaft angles, axle info, transmission info that is awesome stuff to have, and I'm sure we have most of it here too, but its just too difficult to find.

Good morning. I think that is a great idea. I wish this site had a tech area. Broken down into other other sections. Doesn't have to be anything major either. Just one section with a few sub sections. Or, in each type of truck (7.3, 6.0, 6.4, etc etc) each one of those has its own tech section.

Too much good info gets lost here in the general discussions.

The link you put up though, doesn't work for me.??

I don't get that response... Delete the link and then the only answer is a link to an unrelated suggestion thread?

Anybody that has seen therangerstation's tech page has to admit it's 100x better than what we have

Is that all the answer I get for making a suggestion? Not even a real acknowledgment?

I have no clue who posted that.. Maybe they were on acid??

Sorry about that. That was soo rude.

We can probably create something here.

Can i get some links or a screen shot of how the other forum is set up. This way I can figure out how they did it.

Sorry again for that

Helena

Okay here's the link again(like I was asked by admin to repost). It's not forum based that's what makes it soooo much better.

The Ranger Station Technical Library Index - Showing You The Way Since 1999!.

A page like that would allow every single sticky that we have and all the ones that we should have be consolidated in one place.

Hello,

I've checked out the page posted. I'm not sure if something as major like this can be implemented on this forum, albeit a good idea.

TRS uses vbulletin as well, like Powerstroke, but we're uncertain of the plugin used to display that knowledge-base and if it it can be integrated with Powerstroke.
