Any reason why the stickies are at the top of every page? In the 6.0 forums you have to scroll almost halfway down the screen to see actual threads. Stickys are great but they are a page one item.

Agreed. This has been raised before and didn't get traction.

I don't see why each sub-forum (6.7, 6.4, 6.0, etc.) can't have a single stickie thread or folder of stickies at the top of page 1, versus a continually growing list of stickies that one must scroll past each time they want to get to new threads. I know there are a number of folks that dislike the way stickies are handled.

I own a ford drag racing website for 8 years now and its important for ownership to listen. Not to mention the amount of bandwidth that is being wasted reposting stickys on every page. Other than that I think this site is awesome. Funny thing though with the autoguide app I think the stickys are only in the first page..hmm.

I was just about to post a thread about this. Glad to see I'm not the only that has noticed.

Mods please change the stickies to only the first page!!!

This is EXACTLY why I suggested a Tech section to mirror Therangerstation.

My suggestion is just a few down from this one, with a link.

Let me see if a folder is possible with the vbulletin software. I will check later today.

Screw vbulletin, why can't somebody make a normal webpage. Get it off the forum, actively manage it, and get all our hard earned information easily available for as long as this site is around.

The amount of damn good info we lose on this forum is disgusting because there is nowhere to put it. Yes I realize there is a tech section, but using a forum to organize a tech section is terrible, a point proven by the fact that it barely gets used ( look at the views on those threads). The other option using a forum structure also sucks, stickies, great for extremely important stuff, lose their value when you have to scroll past 15 to get to the normal threads.

Therangerstation has an awesome example of exactly what I suggest, Bob at dieselorings has the start of what I'm suggesting with the guzzles7pt3 page. Go check it out and look at how easy it is to access everything. If a SMALLER forum with I bet less than 1/4 of the staff can create something so good, why can't this one?

I just looked at the ranger station. They have just as many stickies as we do.

Look at their tech section.

THAT is what we need

The Ranger Station Technical Library Index - Showing You The Way Since 1999!

Edit: I also could be wrong but I don't remember any section in there with more than 5 stickies, I haven't been extremely active on Ranger forums for a couple years though.
