Cold Air Intake

I have been told the 2 quickest ways to improve mileage (not including, driving like you pay for the fuel) are a programmer and a cold air intake. I am thinking of Edge Products Evolution Programmer but I am not sure about the intake. I would want something fairly easy to install, although it does not need to be bolt on

ok i see your truck is a 2002, i wouldn't get the edge, i would go with Tony Wildman, or Dp tuner,myself i like Tony better because he offers free reburns and he is a great guy to deal with

Reading about the Edge it appears that you plug it in, program and unplug. Does this mean I can use it on more than 1 truck?

as for intake,

The D.I.Y intake is a the most popular because its the cheapest route, but if you dont want to do that,


S&B, or AFE would be your best bet.

As for the Edge, DONT GET IT!!!!!!!!! edge products are known for having destroyed many powerstroke tranny's. They have no transmission tuning.


Go with either a Tony Wildman(Total Diesel Performance) or Dp Tuner chip.


Raul sell the TW chips so he can set ya up with that too

I like the plow,
I don't like the bracket that stays on the truck. Leaves me with the ground clearance of a vette

yeah true, i take mine off in the spring
