codes

i see alot of people askin what certain codes mean that they have pop up. do the codes change from year to year,or are they a standard set up?

All codes starting with a 0, like P0603, are pretty much standard as required by law.

All codes staring with 1, like a P1275, are "manufacturer specific"....which means they could mean anything, the manufacurer specifies what that code means and it doesnt have to fit any kind of platform or rhyme or reason.

the reason i ask; would it be feasable to have a thread in tech files or something that would have a list of codes so people could look them up maybe save somebody a minute or two

yes it is possible, but it would take me a bunch of time. Lets look at that for something for futur reference. I will try to get to it

that would be good for starters, but i cant garantee its acuracy between 7.3's and 6.0's
