Take us to school

We have a lot of discussion topics here. Plenty of mod and maintenance info. Lots of great troubleshooting and tech stuff. What if we had an education forum so to speak. Some where the Mods/Supermods/Admins could accept and post articles and writeups from members (or themselves of course) pertaining to PSD's. Some informational reading only.

Stuff like "How a torque converter works"
"How a PSD exhaust system flows and operates"
"How a HPOP works"
"How a turbocharger works"
The list is endless.

There is a great site I go to sometimes called 'howstuffworks.com'. That is what gave me the idea because it is not always specific enough in some areas. I know we could put a good library together here with all of the knowledgable people at this site. It would be a good way to educate some newer members(all members really) so that they know exactly how something works before they start modding it. Just a thought, what do you think?

I like that idea.....I also saw on some other forums where on posts word were high-lighted to help newbies with the vocab....like DPF, EGR, HPOP and others would stand out and you would move you mouse over it and it would give the meaning....just an idea

You people kill me. "I didn't know we had a tech section"

This actually goes back to my complaint about the crappy search engine that vBulletin has. There is TONS of info here, but you can't find it unless you sacrifice 2 virgins or 20gal of diesel.

That looks like a seperate 'sister site' to me.

I had to register there seperately from here, that site didn't recognize me.

I know there is a tech section here on the front page(read my first post)....this is different. Is there a link to that on here somewhere?
