I have been using the one on the right.

I will use the one on the left and see what happens.

Thanks for the comments. I probably have been using the wrong box.

It's because your computer, or anti-virus software is blocking the cookies of this site.

Use firefox and it allows you to choose which sites you allow cookies for and which it does not. IE does not have this feature, you either have cookies or no cookies.

Cookies are not being blocked. If you log in, and the cookie is blocked.. you can login. But as soon as you move from that page, your login is lost. Which is not the case here.

Use firefox and it allows you to choose which sites you allow cookies for and which it does not. IE does not have this feature, you either have cookies or no cookies.

Strike 2.

IE does have similar features.
Answers in red.

Same thing happens to me using Firefox. If I login at the main page (login at the left), I stay logged in. If I login to a thread (top of page), I get logged out after a certain period of time if I don't click/type something within that time.

I logged on 1 hour and 8 minutes ago.

No auto log offs.

I logged in using box on left.

I think that is the answer.

Using the box on the left, I would have been dropped 4 or 5 times at least.

I'm confused by that. You said you logged in with the box on the left, then "I think that is the answer", then you said you would have dropped.

I meant to say that if I had used the box on the right I would have been dropped.

Ahh, just to make sure that you we are seeing the same issue...

If you logon with the box on the upper right, you will get logged off even WITH the "remember me" checked.

If you logon with the box on the left from the main page, you stay logged on.??

Also, if I remember correctly in vBulletin coding, the "remember me" is only for cookies when you return to the site at a later time and will autofill your logon/password. Should not have any effect on the current session as the session SHOULD only expire when the browser is closed or logout is pressed.
