High mileage

I have a 99 7.3L powerstroke with 400,000 miles. It runs great and doesn't smoke at all. I just replaced all the injectors. My question is would it hurt my engine if I was to put a basic chip in my truck? Or what would be the best route to take to getting more horsepower?

Hey, I have the same thing. 430k. Original injectors. valve covers never even been off and I just put in a tony wildman with stock, eco, daily, tow and heavy tow and it handles it just fine. Shouldnt hurt anything if you have the exh, intake and gauges.

Any mild chips on a 7.3 would be fine, as far as custom tuning, you need to do the necessary upgrades to help the tune maximise your performance like cold air intake, 4" turbo back exhaust. Gauges you don't really need but you can have them if you're concerned if something might go wrong. Gauges really don't help you unless you really know what harm something can do at what range.
