Home Town Forum Maybe?

Hey lem, how about when we get a bit larger, having a hometown forum? It worked really well on a Jeep forum I used to hang out on until I got my PSD.

We're probably too small right now but some sites have a "Hometown Forum" and when you click on the link it's broken down into states. It was a good way for people to get together outside of the board for local events, meet and greets, etc. PLUS if someone needs help with something, they can call out to people in their local area. It worked real well back when I had a Wrangler and hung out on Jeepforum.com. So well in fact, that I stuck my Jeep one night and nobody with me could get me out. I went home that night and posted on the board that I could use some help. The next morning at around 6am I got a call from a guy I'd never met, who lived about 10 miles away. He came out and winched me out two hours later. Ever since then we've been buddies.
It may not work too well in JUST a PSD forum but maybe on TruckImprovement.com since it encompasses more people.
Just a thought.

Take care!
Alan

Great Idea. When we get bigger I think I will implement this.

Thanks!

Spread the word

I like this idea as well. I'll be spreading the word and trying to get more members to join!

Well, we have basically taken Rodslingers idea and created the "By State" Forums. I think I'll rename it "Hometown Forums" or something. Do you think the "By State" Forums is basically the same thing? Or do we need to do it different?

Thanks,

Lem

By State

I think By State is better. Hometown could go on forever with every owner's town being represented versus just 50...
