another thought

something that I read in a book about creating logos, is that some of the worlds most succesful logos are in circular form. As I began to look around me, I realized that it was true. Just a thought as we begin creating.

Another, personal opinion, is that the simpler the better...that way people see it, get the whole thing at first glance and remember it!

Maybe we should also do a couple designs, one for window stickers, one for shirts, flyers etc? My thought is that the window stickers are primarily text (ie: the superchips sticker) this would keep the cost of making them down as well as get the name out fast. I like to be able to read the websites as I am passing people on the road, so if it is too busy, then you kinda lose that.

Personally, I like the first one posted best, so far!

Heck I'm not against e-mailing Ford and asking. I'm 99.99% positive they'd say no but hey if you don't ask you'll never know. I could understand if we were in some way demeaning the company logo but to have a bumper sticker on a Ford, promoting a Ford website, that supports and recommends purchasing a Ford product, would seem like a good thing.
I mean if someone is actually making money off of Calvin whizzing on Ford, Chevy, etc. logos and they're doing it legally, then I'd be curious what the laws actually are.

goo points made

about the calvin thing: good point. Also, I think that when you write to Ford, just be sure to present it as just that; a website selling their product, FOR them! Sugar it up till they get the point that it is nothing but good for them.

UUUGHH...no WAY...there are too many takes off that one anyways. Just a good point about using the logo.

We need something unique for sure

That looks cool, but maybe have a red line instead of black. Just a thought.
