I thought about leaving it up all the time on one of my pc's at work during the day but I wouldn't want people thinking I was being rude or ignoring them if I didn't respond because I wasn't at my desk or was busy.

I find it easier to IM people. hence all those links up there ^

I use trillian which is a free program that lets me talk on yahoo, MSN, AOL, ICQ and mIRC at the same time with one interface.

Go to download.com and do a search for trillian. It will come up there. Super easy to use it and nice to have most of the chats in one. Although, I am now hooked on SKYPE because if you have speakers and a microphone on your computer you can actually call eachother for free!!!

I have been in the chat a lot, check it everytime I get online, but have only been on there once when there was someone else. I felt bad too, because then my connection went down right then

well, I am on google talk, skype and sometimes msn. my usernames are either "sibbea" or "horseenut" so please add me if you have any of these programs!
