Being today is april 1st, i have to question the validity of that. However, sadly, its believable that someone is really that stupid.

Sounds real to me....she sounded genuinely embarrassed.

Something along the same line happened to me when I worked at a Mechanic shop. This little old lady called and said she couldnt put her car in gear, she said it was stuck. She was at some store or something and asked if I could come look at it because she was stuck there. So I run over, start her car, STEP ON THE BRAKE, and put it in gear. She was like how did you get it to work??

She had just gotten the car and everywhere she went in it normally had a slope to it and she had to hold the brake, well this particular place didnt, so she just tried to move the shifter like she did in her other car that didnt have the brake lock on the shifter column.....
