Alternative Uses for Brushguards

Not sure if this is the proper place, but today I was at a light and I had to look at this Prius multiple times to make sure I wasn't dreaming. This Prius had a big chrome brush guard mounted to the front of it, not a small one, something that normally should go on a big SUV or truck. Craziest thing I've seen in a while, just wish I could've gotten a pic.

What's the craziest thing you have seen on a car/truck, something that is totally out of place.

Check the last 3 pages of the "dumbest pics" thread. Would that happen to be the car? I believe it was a gold Prius

I think that it was installed to keep the "Love Bugs" from causing damage to the front end.
