mini maxx problems

I have a mini maxx on my truck, that i bought used. It has an issue of getting stuck at initializing communication with the truck. Anytime i want to update or change tunes i have to fiddle and adjust the cable in the back of the tuner for 20 minutes to get it to work. I cant even leave it hooked up for fear it will throw a code and diable my obd port. Is there any way i can get this fixed or seen about? please let me know.

I have tried 4 different ones from the cheap up to the 30 dollar monster cable all with the same results.

you can try a new OBD-II block. If that doesn't cure it, you're going to be out some money for a head unit repair/replacement

that sucks because i know it is the headunit itself. I was just hoping maybe the guys on here could help me out. Any idea what it would cost?

the only time the problem occurs is when the headunit itself is moved. If i am holding the end where the headunit goes the only time i can get it to work is if i fiddle with the headunit until it actually connects, thus i assume this is where the problem lies.

bad connection at the circuit board. I see it a lot with XRT Pros, but rarely with Mini Maxxes because Minis stay plugged in all the time. If the cable is in a bind and the connection is side-loaded, it will cause the problem you're having
