I went duck hunting for the first time last year. My father in-law goes all the time and got me some waders for Christmas. I didn't know how I was going to like it because I don't like being cold and I'm really picky about keeping my guns clean. All I can say is I'm hooked.

It's definitely an addiction. I can't wait until August just to get the boat and decoys ready. I think Teal season starts sometime in September for us. I'll be able to hunt the entire season this year instead of only after Christmas like last year.

My 10 year old synthetic stocked Winchester 1300 looks brand new and I've shot at least a case a shells through it every year shooting dove/skeet. So you can see my original anal tendencies the first time we went out. It doesn't bother me so much now but I do clean it as soon as I get home.

We went on a guided hunt down to the bay last January and I think we are just going to go by ourselves this year. One of his buddies has a bay boat.

Duck hunting

Ive been known to kill a few ducks. Last year My hunting parteners and I shot around 500 ducks and just as many geese.
It also doesnt hurt that my partener Danny is a call maker (187goosecalls), And is also prostaff for Bill Saunders and RNT. My other friend Wayne is a Pro Dog trainer (Reteivercoach.com).

Ive never hunted timber, usually marsh and big water. Would love to try it though.
