Got my first Turkey

I went to Hollis Oklahoma last weekend to do a little Turkey hunting. The weather wasn't very cooperative, it was rainy and cool all weekend. I did manage to call up 3 birds Sunday afternoon, I shot one and my dad shot the other.

It was only the second time I had been, here is a couple pics




Mine had a 9" double beard, my dads was 8 3/4"









anybody know what this little guy is? I know its hard to see but its a glossy black and bright yellow salamander of some kind

I was kidding, kinda. Pretty selfish of me to volunteer your
first turkey for a cookout! You should keep that and make a
nice dinner for your new girlfriend! (Or, see if SHE can cook!)

I thnk that is a salamnder. We had two of them for years when I was a kid.

nothing on a wild turkey worth eating but the breast and last one i smoked was dry as boot leather...the dogs ate it.

nah, If I come out early I will bring it.

Oh I know she cant cook, I do the cooking and she does the cleaning
