4 deer yesterday morning

Man this deer season has been really lousy as far as weather goes! It rained all of the beginning of bow and now as of yesterday it's been warm and has these northern deer all messed up! Yesterday it was 70 out! We're used to snow and cold by now! Oh well I saw 4 deer about 250 yards out but with a slug gun that is a no go! On the way home from the mall last night we saw a monster alongside of the road (still alive). This weekend is looking more promising though! Highs in the 20's and snow! I'm heading down south and have my fingers crossed!

Dang I seen a monster the last Tuesday on my way down to Ashland, he was on the side of 271..... thats 5 lanes of high way he had to TRY and cross. Good luck with the hunt Mike!!

I live in Iowa and first regular gun season starts Saturday. So let the games begin! the weathers been crazy here lately too. A couple of weeks ago it was plenty cold and they were rutting good. Couldn't drive 5 country miles in broad day light without seeing them running or just the does just grazing in the fields not far from the road. This whole last week its been warm. 8pm last night I was standing in my garage with the door open in a pair of shorts and a tshirt letting my dogs run out front. Supposed to get cold as the week wears on though so hopefully by saturday it will actually feel like december first. Hope your luck turns good where you're at too. Think big and shoot straight!
