Big buck contest question...

You just have to "shoot" the deer and bring him down....right?
I shot this deer, it was just with a dart and not a bullet.
He is a 180 5/8 B&C 3 year old out of my brother's pens.

So are you saying that you druged it by saying you shot it with a dart?

I was waiting for you to show up Ranch!
No one was going to be able to compete with the place that he manages down here. That SURE is a nice buck. Did someone buy it for breeding or were y'all working on him?

It is legal to pen raise whitetail in TX if you have a scientific breeders license.
We darted him in the pen to score him and move him to another pen for breeding.
Rodslinger, this is at my brother's pens. We don't have any here where I work. He has another buck that is 2 years old and scores right at 200!
Its amazing what good genetics and protein will grow.

Catch and release works for Bass tournements, I've never seen it before for hunting. I dont have a dart gun, maybe I'll sneak some sleeping pills into an apple.
Or maybe get a doe decoy, You've seen a chinese finger trap right? I'm thinking a little doe in heat on the decoy and I'll catch one in the act

No, I would have posted it in the contest thread.
I don't know why I even entered the contest, I haven't shot a buck other than a spike or cull in about 10 years. They are worth too much $$$$ for me to shoot.
