CLAY YOU SHOOT THE SAME .44 I DO!!! satin finish. 6 3/8 barrel iron sight. i love that gun. the only problem i've had is the clip that holds the cylinder arm in broke and the cylinder fell off right in the middle of reloading one day at the shack. i am pumped to see another taurus owner on here. i get a lot of crap in mn for not buying a ruger or S&W.

hope i didn't hijack. sorry marc.

Marc, didnt' mean to steel your thunder on this thread man! But....for a 220 lb deer in Montana, that rack look a little small buddy!
lol
Just kiddin man, my deer wasn't huge but it was really a kool, once in a lifetime (maybe) kill.
Actually I have called in alot of deer with the rattling horns when bow hunting but never did they present such a nice kill as this one. I wish i had a video of the whole thing....it was nice.

Mines blued, nothing wrong with a Taurus. Ask your buddies who owns S&W now. I love that gun too. I can hit well with it. Ruger is rough IMO on there wheel guns and I wouldn't own one. My Taurus is a tack driver.

The taurus wheel guns are "top gun".
S&W sold out to Taurus - from what I heard - so that means the taurus is made on S&W machines.
I wouldn't own a taurus auto...the only auto i own is a Browning high power.
Go shoot a taurus Ragin Bull and then report back on that!

I have seen a good number of their wheel guns, always wanted to shoot one, just never had the chance. Maybe I can find a buddy with one. But I love my Glock.

yeah i've heard mixed rumbling about taurus and s&w. last i heard smith got bought out and was back being owned by an american company and taurus bought smith's old factory in brazil. kinda makes sense because my taurus looks alot like a smith 629 frame. i love that gun. i can hit twice as much with that than i can with my .40 s&w beretta. i used to think it was the weight but i believe i'm just that much more comfortable with it. my bud that gives me the most crap has a redhawk. i really don't see what he's squawking about. that thing ain't any fun to shoot!!

i know what you mean about their semi's though. hard to believe it's the same company, really.

There are actually some small towns in SE Oklahoma that shut down schools for rifle season! No BS...i don't know if they have to start earlier in the Fall or go longer in the Spring but they are out for a 10 day period durring our rifle season.
