A few years ago I picked up a Ruger 22/45 with the 6 7/8 slab side barrel for an all around truck pistol. I have always wanted to scope it, but have been too cheap. I also wanted to do something with the smooth grips but was hesitant to modify the gun, afraid of goofing it up.
Well a few years later, and 9 years after the "over 40" eyes, I decided to put some optics on her and stipple the front and back straps. Picked up a cheap BSA 2x handgun scope for a little over $50 and a Volquartsen base. Took it out last Saturday morn to try it out on some tree rats. Seen 5 and brought these home for the pot. It's my new favorite way to kill squacks now.
