Alaska

Any of the members from Alaska do any hunting up here? I have little experience with anything bigger than a coyote, mostly birds. I'd like to get into a moose or caribou this year, but I don't really know where to start haha. any tips for a big game noob?
I have a few rifles that would be up to the task, so I'm not worried about that. For caribou, and more open moose, or even sheep I have a 7mm Remington mag with a decent scope. currently it is sighted to 200yds for 150gr (I am aware the 200yds is a pretty long shot for most Alaska hunts, and that 150gr bullets are a bit light for a moose). For a closer range/bush hunt I have a 45/70 which will take down just about anything inside 100yds.
Just thought I'd start a discussion.
Also, anyone do any bow hunting up here? I haven't been into archery for a couple years, but it's something I would really like to get back into.

Despite waiting out the weather and visibility 8 of my 12 days out in the bush I at least pulled off a 53" for the freezer. Not the biggun' I was after but it'll eat just fine and next years another opportunity.

Made the trailer, a few different designs being towed around up here and this is what works for me. Been using it over 10 years now.
