My personal preference for carry/defense is the Hydra-Shok. Never had any experience with the Glasers though.

I've shot them in my .45 & .357. They seem fine. The lighter weight makes for less felt recoil. Thankfully, I've never shot them in a crisis situation.

Glasser safety slugs

Hey yall when I carry my personal protection weapon I have hydra-shok in it. But at home I have a 12 gauge Remington 870 with these loaded in it. Non-lethal rounds check them out. They don't have tremondous kick when you fire them but they will knock down a big person aim center mass hit them in the chest and they fall to the ground. I like them because they don't destroy my house when needed. I have used them in a situation that could have been ugly.

CBC, 1997 mfg.
Police anti-riot shells
Filled with small plastic disks
Non-lethal past 10 meters

You can still get them at http://www.ammunitionstore.com/

They are 12 gauge they have I don't know how many little plastic disks in them but they are effective and you don't have a bloody mess to clean up when you use them. Also they will not go through your walls so no worries about putting your kids roommates or significant others in danger when you fire them. Besides when you operate the action of a pump shotgun that usually makes anyone breaking into your house run.
