I agree with any of the Remington shotguns for a good entry level gun. I run a hunting ranch and have seen just about all there is as shotguns go. Never had anyone have a problem with 1100's or 870's. Really the only ones that seem to have some bugs are the semi-auto mid to high end ones(Bennelli, Beretta, Browning, etc..) . I myself love my Ruger red label 20 guage. |

Well, it be done! 9 days and counting til I get to pick her up! Went with the Remington 870 Express (which I learned IS hardwood and not a synthetic wood-looking material). The Dude at Big-5 had good things to say about the 870 also and they had a good sale going on!
SlammedSI, I'll be able to handle the recoil. We'll see how the wife handles it. The first time it knocks her on her bum, she may insist on getting a little 22cal. pistola or something. We'll see. I think we'll like it!
