Archery hunt starting

Heading up to Utah for the Archery opener on Saturday. Spotted 8 nice bucks above timberline last weekend. I'll post some pics if we get lucky

Thanks! I wish I was going rifle this year myself. Can be pretty tough to get a nice muley with a bow, but alot of fun chasing them around anyway.

Good luck man, ours doesn't start for a bit, although I was out at the ranch this weekend getting the feeders started. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
I'll be doing some dove hunitin' here in a couple weeks though so I'm excited about that.

Early start

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if the archery started a month later. Makes it hard to hang em when it's still summertime, even at 10,000 ft elevation.

You goin archery deer too? I'm getting pretty pumped also. Only problem is I'm way out of shape so this is gonna hurt!

Yeah but it doesn't start in Texas until October, so I've some time to get ready. Of course it'll still be in the 80's in October - it'll be pretty interesting as usual.

It's still quite a ways out for me. I generally just do rifles (.50 cal muzzleloader and 30.06) so for us it doesn't start until December. Don't have the patience to do archery, muzzleloading is bad enough.

I haven't hit it lucky yet just got a couple spike bucks and some does in the late season.

December would be just about right. Just don't feel quite right going hunting in the summer.

I did okay on the Antelope and have got a few deer with a bow, but I'd prefer the cannon for deer out west. Just alot of big canyons.
