Deer hunting safety

Please Please Please make sure that if you use a portable tree stand that all your straps are secure and your footing is good before you use it.

When deer hunting always check which way there is wind flow blowing. The reason is so that the deer will not smell your scent on the air currents. If they do smell your scent they will turn around and leave or bed down. Always place your take a position down wind of the place where you expect to see deer.

If you hunt from a tree take a stand carry an empty bottle with a good sealing type lid. When nature calls, just use the plastic container. It will save you a trip down the tree. You should not keep your scent around your take a place area because the deer will smell it and they will not come anywhere near your take a stand.
