Deer Stands

Tis the season to start preparing for the next season. I'm looking to build a couple new stands and I've got some pretty neat ideas but I was just curious if anyone had any pictures or plans of stands you use or built.

Sounds sweet!

My idea is an octagon shape two person stand with Plexiglas sliding windows. I also bow hunt so I want to build it with a two sided hatch of sorts that I can open for bow shots. I've got the metal, and equipment to build the frame I just need to map it all out. I wish I knew how to use CAD to design it.

LOL! I work for the largest privately owned engineering company in the world - I can get you a copy.

Yeah we hunt a bit different down around here. Especially out in the hill country and south/west Texas. We don't have the tall pines and such that y'all have so tall ground stands give you more options than trying to find a tree to build a blind in.

I've hunted from many a wooden crate pallet trust me.
I'm making theses things a bit more high speed. I've been missing being behind my welder so it's time to start sticking metal.
