AZ turkey and Deer hunt
Time for archery deer and turkey in AZ. Starts Aug 19th and will last till Sept 8th. I can't wait to get out of the valley for a few days. The best thing about it is the tags are over OTC. No draw..
Any other AZ hunters out there.

I know it's a bit of an old post, but how'd ya do in the early archery hunt? I went out to unit 21 for the early archery and didn't get anything. I got a leftover 36b late november tag and got a buck. And now i've been doin some scouting for the late archery hunt which started the 9th.

We ran into a few bucks but all were about 80 to 100 yards out. To far for me. We stock'em for a few miles but never really got a good shot. My bro and I just came back from 37b Sunday. We were bird hunting and scouting for bucks. We didn't see any bucks this time but I know they're there. I missed at 50 yards last year on a really fat 3x3. Here's a pic of some sheds we found a couple of weeks back shoot'en birds. We'll be out there for Christmas and the newyears.

Nice! Yeah I pulled a decent buck out of 36b that I posted in the "big bucks" thread. Definitely not gonna win that contest haha. Coues are just so small. What kind of birds? I'm a big duck hunter, but it just hasn't been a good year this year. Game and fish opened the season almost a month earlier than last year, and the weather just isn't pushing the birds south like it normally does.

It's quail season right now. I've never done duck before. I'm not sure were to go for duck. Coues are small but alot of people like'em better than mule deer.

they're addicting as hell to hunt. And yeah I picked up a few quail while jumping ponds in Wickenburg last weekend. And there's a few good places in the state for ducks. Just gotta find good spots to set up decoys and call in. Picacho Reservoir was really good a few years back, but game and fish hasn't been filling it the last couple years which is a big bummer. Cibola is real good for geese, but you have to pay and there are special rules. (I Haven't been yet, but I hear its worth it.)
