Big Buck Contest 2007

Ok yall well I was asked about this today. I guess some members were not able to get in it last year. Because there season was already started and over by the time I brough this up.

Big buck contest will begin August 1st and go till Jan 1st I know seems like a long time. But I would like to give the oppurtunity to all members for this.

So what do you have to do to get in this contest this year. Just post your entry in this thread. No need to pm me names this year.


Rules
1 one entry per member
2 must be legally taken game. This is on the honor system folks. I can not keep track of all the different states laws on deer hunting.
3. Pic must have date stamp on it from the camera. This is to verify when the trophy was taken.

That is it I am keeping it simplier this year. Hopefully we will have more members in this contest. This year then last year.
Winnings is Bragging rights for the year. Last year it was Curely Sue who one.

How is the winner determined at 12:00am Jan 1st 2008 all entries will be stopped. On Jan 2nd 2008 I will post a pole for the members to vote on. Myself will pick the 5 biggest deer entered. After that it will be on all the members to vote on which one they believe is the best.

Voting will go from Jan 2 2008 to Jan 10th 2008, on Jan 11th 2008 the winner will be announced. They get to brag for the rest of 2008 until the 2008 season begins.

If I pull the trigger, it won't be until after the second rut,(mid January) to insure max breeding opportunity. My season lasts until March. Premature (trigger) actuation isn't a good thing.

Well Gentleman I can not run the contest year long. I try to get a wide range of dates for the contest. To try and include all the hunting seasons through out all the states.

Count me in. You northern boys would probably cull what we call monsters down here, but you never know. I can't wait to see the pics.

u might want to make this more specific scott....

An elk, axis deer, mule deer, whitetail, and blacktail are all technically deer.....but some have a way larger rack and body

I understand that marc but due to the geographic locations of our members I am leaving it open to all species of deer, as in mule deer, axis deer, whitetail deer, blacktail deer. Elk and moose are not allowed. Must have deer in the specie name.

Again I will automatically disqualify myself from this contest how ever like last year I will post pics in there own thread of my kill.

OH come on!! No elk...that's...well...maybe a good thing seeing how last year sucked pretty bad for elk. I'll um...stick to what I can get...legally of course. No more hunting on the bison range...wait, did I just....forget you ever read that...

so if i post a pic of my elk and use the european words for it (red deer) it counts??
