Socal Hunters, Need a little help

Well my buddy and I have only lived in LA for about 3 years. We have put in many many many weekends of looking, scouting and field time and neither one of us have filled a single tag since we have been here. This weekend we are doing a thanksgiving hunting trip hoping for quail and really hoping for to fill a couple of pig tags. We were thinking about heading up to the Lake Santa Margarita, we have never been there but figured what the heck our usual places have not yeilded anything yet.

Can anyone give us any advice for this area or another that may fill our freezers with some pig. Maybe even deer next season. I know a lot of times people don't want to give up there favorite places but we are getting desperate for a successful hunt. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
