Javelinas...

I really love Javelinas. Maybe not as much as Russian/Feral hogs...but I do enjoy hunting them.

But there are a lot of Landowners and Hunters alike that truly hate them. They are considered cornhogs and will finish eat all of the corn thrown from your feeder before the whitetail have a chance to get a single bite! There is a limit of 2 per person per season which upsets many landowners. Mostly because they want to treat the Javelina like a Feral hog and shoot every one of them with no remorse.

I cut my teeth hunting Javelina. Beginning with an uneventful season trying to get a whitetail, the year after I was able to bag my first big game animal in Sheffield...a Javelina.

My last trip to Arizona to visit my sister during her college graduation I was staying at a nice Golf resort called Starr Pass and was able to feed and photograph Javelina from behind my suite. These things will practically eat anything from donuts to Flamin' Hot Cheetos!

They even fought each other over the Spicy cheetos!

Hope you enjoyed.
