Turkey Huntin'

Any of y'all had any luck? I've been so busy at work I haven't had a chance to get out. I'm going next Saturday to see if I can bust one - it'll be the only day this season I'll have to get out. Curlysue will be going to check out Baylor University so my huntin' buddy won't be with me this trip but I'll take the video camera and see if I can get some footage to share.

Here's some turkeys in my back yard!! There are plenty around my place. I've seen as many as 15-25 at a time! (I hope the links work below)

My hunters here have not had any luck. Don't know where they went to. During deer season they were at dang near every corn feeder. My son shot one at my dad's place opening weekend. Can't find the picture but he had an 8 1/2 inch beard.

Nice! We've got a creek that runs half the length of our place. They generally line the whole thing - pretty amazing to hear them when they all start gobbling off the roost. It amazes me how "dumb" they can be throughout the year up until the season starts.
Guess I need to break out my calls today and get to work.

Good luck if you're able to get out next weekend. All of y'all be sure and take pictures, we'd love to see 'em.

Yea, we got a creek like that too, and they are usually all over this place about now struttin' out in the fields but I have no idea where they went. I have 10 hunters coming next weekend and I don't think I have 10 turkeys.
