I bought my wife a beagle pup for her birthday a few years ago, it didn't last 4 months and I left one morning and said "if that dog isn't gone by the time I get home, I'm taking it to the duck club and leaving it for the coyotes"!
It was just tearing the crap out of EVERYTHING and I couldn't stop it. Sorry to all you dog lovers, but my house is worth more to me than a dog. Plus I had a bluetick and a redbone that didn't tear anything up.

hahaha, I didn't have that kind of patience at the time!

Yeah, you gotta give them a lot of attention, and lots of old toys from goodwill to chew on. Usually takes about a year to get them trained to the point where they dont chew on your boots,lol

ps. It's hard to resist letting a pup beagle that fits in one hand not sleep in your bed, but if you want to have your own blankets for the next 10 to 12 years, DONT DO IT!

Boy isn't that the truth!..... All of it! I have an 8 month old male that my wife hates! Of course I hate her stupid mini dapple dauchsund too so we're even! But let me tell you. Those two make the damndest hunting team I have ever seen! He (roscoe my beagle) finds and runs rabbits, coon, & quail while she (daisy her dauchsund) tries to keep up! But if the rabbit etc. runs into a brush pile or hole...... Man she is in after it n a heartbeat!!!!
