New Deer Rifle

Well I finally decided to upgrade to a new deer rifle

I have been shooting a New England Firearms single shot break over .243 with a $20 wal-mart scope for the last 11 years.
I got it for Christmas when I was 12 years old. It has been a good gun,
but I wanted something that could take down bigger game.

I bought a ruger M77 Mark II 30-06, with a leupold scope.
I havent got to shoot it yet, but hopefully I will on sunday.

My brothers got the same rugers in .270 and a 25-06. They're really good guns. I'm also a fan of leupold optics... I have a couple of them, a VX1 and a VX3 scope.

You will be disappointed and excited.
It will recoil too hard and you will miss the target high.
The second you willl hold too tight and it will hurt you.
The third you will embrace and will reach out and touch your target.
Much like a woman.
