thats a good price I was thinking about getting a VB since I cant afford a fully built trans how will my trans hold up with just the VB and a stock TC will it be pretty helpful. Ive acutally been meaning to ask these questions so now that my dyno question was answered I hope you dont mind a couple more. lol

Also I was lookin at racerxautomotive VBs, any opinion on those. Sorry for so many questions

With stage 1's? get a vb and a larger cooler. Keep the stock pan.

I would not install anything other than BTS. As soon as I get another stock VB, I'll test out John Woods VB. I hear they are very good also.

I gave away a FTVB. Had nothing but issues. I had the trans screaming at me at the rev limiter not wanting to shift using some seriously extreme tunes.

The man who wrote the tunes was in the truck as a witness. I'll let you guess who that is. Now the trans shifts properly under WOT or part throttle with ease.

Ok cool then I will definitely stick with a BTS VB then and 240 after sending the core back sounds good to me, only Ive never messed with transmissions so I would probably have to have it done unless its not too hard to do. I can guess who the guy that wrote the tunes was. lol. So if I get a VB and a bigger cooler with stage 1s Ill be in good shape with my trans, would you just recommend doing a 6.o cooler?

40k gvw cooler should be good.

Installing the VB is simple. Just need a inch-pound torque wrench or very light and accurate ft pound (5-30lb) torque wrench. I think its only 9 or 13 bolts to remove the old unit and stick the new one on (once the pan is removed).
