New Powerstroke owner

Hey y'all just introducing myself, my names Jake and I'm 24 from Loganville, Ga just bought my first Powerstroke; it's a 1997 F-350 crew cab long bed white paint with the gray interior. It's bone stock other than some new wheels and tires and only has 96,600 miles. Let the fun begin!!!!

Gonna start with 4 inch turbo back exhaust w/ no muffler, then gonna get an air intake, eventually add an intercooler and bigger turbo at some point, and later down the road a tuner with bigger injectors. Any suggestions please feel free to let me know.

I'd do the injectors and turbo either the same time or injectors first, because a big turbo would be pretty laggy with stock injectors, I've actually intercooled 3 obs rigs now, I can help with install or parts required if you want to DIY, or do a kit, as far as intakes go try looking up the DIY 6637 it's cost effective and one of the best out there for our rigs,

Any idea on who's tunes you want to run? I've had great luck with tony wildman on my rigs, looking at php or dp tuner for my sd however just to try it out

Still looking around, haven't put that much thought into yet, my buddy mentioned and showed me the banks big hoss kit, the price on it scares me a bit, but I know banks has good stuff.

I am not super familiar with the 7.3 offerings but I bet you could find stuff out from other vendors than Banks that is cheaper and just as good or better. Banks makes decent stuff butabut a lot of the cost is just the name.

Banks is very expensive stuff, I've intercooled 2 obs trucks for under $400 combined tho, the set up on my 95 I'm into for about $215 rite now, my old 97 I had $180 in, and I did a buddies rig for about $225

Just something to keep in mind, a lot of the good mods can be had with some thrifty searching

Banks was the best stuff I knew about before I got into it myself. I give credit to an awesome advertising department. Banks isn't the best, nor the cheapest, and not even the most friendly. Snoop around the forums, post up in the soot thread, and you'll get set in the right direction. 351fifty is good folk and will not steer you wrong on OBS stuff.
