UPGRADING!!!!

Hey guys, I've got a good 6.0 core i was thinking about building a beefed up motor. Does anyone know of a company that sells shorter pistons and longer stroke rods?

I highly doubt that there is enough of a demand for the parts that you would need. In order to use a longer rod you would need a shorter throw on the crankshaft. If you can't make a 6.0 do what you want with bolt on parts and tuning, just stuff a Cummins in it. Just my .02.

I second that notion as well.

How much HP/TQ are you wanting to do? What do you want to use it for?

Well for now my plans are to make my truck 500hp at the wheel. And Ill probably stop there. But in the next two years im gonna buy a new truck. When I do so I would like to drop a built motor in to this one. So I figured I would get started.

and by built motor....what are you meaning? Are you going for a new record or what? These engines are great but they don't make the power the 6.4L's and other engines will. If you want to build a big boy motor, like Michael said, get yourself a Cummins and start buying parts for the swap. Look for a '03-'04 CR and start with that.
